An American King

Every time a national holiday rolls around, how many people actually take a moment to reflect on the reason for the commemoration? No matter how busy today may be for you, it's quite easy (and highly recommended) to take a few minutes to honor the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Regardless of race or socioeconomic status, many of us take for granted our civil liberties & the current state of [relative] social acceptance.
Although brought to a tragically early end, Dr. King's life was dedicated to spreading peace, true equality, and promoting judgment based upon character rather than superficial/external factors.

It is impossible to know the extent of civil rights achievements that Dr. King would have continued to bring about, had he been given the opportunity to promote his pacifist beliefs. Nevertheless, we are fortunate to have recorded films depicting Dr. King's powerful orations.
