As of this month, we're happy to announce that the manufacturing facility where our Green Tea Mints are made is fully powered by solar energy. This makes Sencha Naturals the first mint company in the USA to use 100% renewable energy.Over 200 rooftop panels have been installed at our company warehouse in sunny southern California. Over the span of 25 years, this will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 1,200 tons...that's the equivalent of 4 million miles driven in a car, or about 47,000 trees planted.
So now our tea mints are green, our power is green, and the next step in bringing our environmentally-conscious practices full-circle will be investigating eco-friendly packaging options. Until then, we recommend that our mint canisters be re-used as handy containers for coins, beads, or even paper clips at your office!~~
