Tea, For the Rest of Us

It's no secret that we live in a coffee society. We grow up with the bubbling sounds of our parents' coffee maker each morning, we are bombarded by cafes at each & every city corner, and new friends or business acquaintances invite us to chat over a cup of coffee. But...what if we don't like it?

Some of us are too sensitive to caffeine.
Some of of don't like its acidity.
Some of us get the jitters...pretty bad.
And some of us just plain don't like the taste. *gasp!*

So what do we do? Do we apologize and coyly tell others that we prefer tea? Is it emasculating? Does it make us social deviants?

Tea has been shown to provide numerous health benefits, contains less blood pressure-raising caffeine, and is extremely versatile. It's used in gourmet dishes, desserts, and infused into mints & snack bars. And on certain mornings & anxiety-filled moments in our day, coffee just won't do. It simply doesn't satisfy, soothe, or provide comfort quite like tea.

So pass up that cuppa Joe, steep a few leaves of Camellia sinensis, and relax with a different type of infusion. Flavor-full and jitter-free.
